The wall hanging "Layers of the Past" (2021) is an elegant piece of fibre art, which can add modern and artistic touch to your living/office space.
As my work is mainly inspired by the textures and surfaces found in nature, this work was inspired by the layers of the local limestone near my home village. The limestone is the perfect example of the past - you can see layers of history all at once. I see parallels with our lives and memories. It somehow symbolises the movement of time and our life. Everything experienced in our lives leaves some mark behind, one form or another. Over the time these feelings, emotions are like these layers set in stone. All together to make us stronger. 
As a textile artist I love to experiment with fiber to create contemporary dimensional artwork. This is the reason I choose fiber over the paint. This is also a reason why this artwork is unique and will add plenty of character for your living space.

  • PRODUCT INFO

    The size of this work is 100x80 cm (36x31,5 inches) and it is on a wooden frame which is 2,5 cm (1 inch) thick. Due to its abstract and modern design, it can be hung both ways.
    It is made of extra fine merino wool and different fibres (silk, ramie etc) in a wet felting technique.

    It has many surface design elements, which create plenty of different textures and colour combinations.

  • RETURN & REFUND POLICY

    If you are not happy with your ordered item, please contact me. You may return or exchange the item within 7 days. Returned items are refunded only if they arrive back in the same condition that they were posted out to the customer. The postage for the returned item is not refundable, so the buyer will have to pay for the postage fee. Please contact me and we will find a way to solve the problem.

  • SHIPPING INFO

    It normally takes 1-3 business days to post the order after the payment has been received.
    Shipping times are approximately the following:

    Europe - up to 7 days

    Rest of the world - up to 14 days

    All orders to Europe will be sent with the DPD courier, others with the most suitable courier available at the time of the order.
